Travel destination Rovaniemi
The centre of Lapland, Finland, is no doubt the city of Rovaniemi. Rovaniemi is by far the biggest city in Lapland and it actually lies in the centre of Lapland. The city center of Rovaniemi itself is very small with a radius of about one kilometer, and everything inside it is within an easy walking distance. One of the noticeable features in Rovaniemi is river Kemijoki, the longest river in Finland, which runs next to the centre. On the west side of the river there is large hill Ounasvaara. Whether you would like to take a bus tour, day trip or snowmobile safari, try snowboarding, downhill skiing or just relax and enjoy your holiday in Rovaniemi - everything is possible.
